Barton Foundation will continue to fund Barton Health's Cancer Support Services and we will continue to fundraise throughout the year adding to our tally for the March 2022 event.

Fundraising will continue between now and Pink Heavenly 2022. All participants who registered for the 2020 event will automatically be registered for the March 2022 event. Any funds raised will be counted towards next year's tally and we will be adding incentives and prizes for those who raise $5,000 or more between now and March 2022. Participants will maintain their fundraising status and be able to build on it throughout the year.

Pink Heavenly raises funds to ease the pains of cancer treatment providing cancer support programming for community members living with cancer in South Lake Tahoe. Pink Heavenly unites the many people touched by cancer who share a common love for skiing and snowboarding. Individuals and groups compete to raise funds through social media, email, and at pre-event launch parties. Donors range from those who write substantial checks to children emptying their piggy banks – all with a common goal of helping people affected by cancer to become survivors. Friends cajole friends into supporting the cause and plan outrageous team costumes. Leading up to event, the town and storefronts are pinkified, banners are raised and the air is filled with anticipation.

Pink Heavenly proceeds fund Barton Health's Cancer Support Services, providing patients the opportunity to receive exercise and nutrition coaching, emotional support, acupuncture, yoga, outdoor adventures and more. These unique services can dramatically impact a patient’s quality of life and are not typically covered by insurance.

Registration is $25 per person, no matter the age, and includes event credentials (lift tickets are not included). Participants are encouraged to raise funds by asking friends and family to sponsor your ski day.

The more you raise, the more prizes you are eligible for - and the more our community members living with cancer benefit.

If you add a personal donation of $25 or more in addition to your $25 registration fee, you will receive a signature Pink Heavenly Bula beanie. Those who raise $1000 or more will be granted VIP status.

No. You will need to purchase a lift ticket if you would like to participate in on-mountain activities including reaching the on-mountain checkpoints. Keep in mind you do not need a lift ticket to participate. For your $25 registration fee you can join us at the California Base Lodge where we will have our Pink Heavenly Headquarters and a day full of music and activities, and use the free Heavenly shuttles to get to the Heavenly Village to visit the village checkpoints for the Checkpoint Challenge.

Just like asking someone to sponsor your walk or run for a summer cancer event, you are asking friends and family to sponsor your ski day. Share your own personal story or that of a loved one and let everyone know why access to cancer support services is important to you. Send e-mails, make some calls, and knock on doors—you’ll be amazed at how generously people will support you and this great cause!

We have a toolkit available to help you with each area of your fundraising. Click here to get started!

Supporting Pink Heavenly is a great way to get involved in a community event and promote your business. While Pink Heavenly will attract visitors from around the country and donors from around the globe, proceeds stay local. Your sponsorship will ease the journey of those in our community living with cancer by providing them access to Barton Health's cancer support services.

In addition to a direct cash sponsorship, you can host a Pink Heavenly pre-party, create a team, help us to turn Tahoe pink in the week leading up to the event, decorate your business, offer specials for registered participants, feature pink items, put out a donation jar, or ask your customers to donate a small amount with each purchase. There are endless ways that you can support those in our community living with cancer.

Interested? Contact us at foundation@bartonhealth.org or at 530.543.5614 to discuss partnership opportunities.

There is no limit to the number of people per team. You can have as many as you would like. The more the merrier!  Remember, though, VIP status is granted to individual team members who raise $1000 or more towards the team total, not to the entire team.

Build your team and create a team costume!

No. Participants can ski their hearts out or just chill on a deck and soak in the spring sun. The goal of Pink Heavenly is to raise funds for Barton Health's cancer support services and have fun. If you've got that competitive edge, vie for one of the top individual or team fundraising spots and win incredible prizes!

Funds raised, stay local for Barton Health's cancer support services. Proceeds benefit community members with ALL forms of cancer, providing patients the opportunity to receive exercise and nutrition coaching, emotional support, yoga, acupuncture, outdoor adventures and more. These unique services can dramatically impact a patient’s quality of life and are not typically covered by insurance.

In 2016, nearly $95,000 was raised at the Barton Foundation Gala in support of Barton Health's cancer support services. An additional $54,000 was raised at the inaugural Pink Heavenly event in March, 2019.

100% of the funds raised annually at Pink Heavenly will help us to continue to provide benefits to community members living with cancer.

To ensure all donations are counted towards team and individual goals, money must be physically collected and submitted at the Pink Heavenly Headquarters at Heavenly's California Base Lodge or to the Registration tent in the Heavenly Village by 12:00 PM on the day of the event. Donations received after 12:00 PM will be accepted, but will not count towards individual or team goals.

Although your efforts are super appreciated, prizes will only be awarded based on dollars received by noon the day of the event. If you still anticipate money coming in after the day of the event, that is great and we can still accept it, but it will not count toward your fundraising goals or prizes awarded.

The Checkpoint Challenge is a fun deck-to-deck ski experience between 10:00AM - 2:00PM. Visit the deck parties around Heavenly Mountain and in the Heavenly Village and receive a hole punch on your credential for a chance to win great prizes at the end of the day! Prizes will be awarded after the decks close at 2:00pm. Check out the prize board at Pink Heavenly Headquarters at the California Base Lodge to see if you are a winner!

The Celebration of Life Ski, sponsored by Edgewood Tahoe, gives you and your teammates the opportunity to ski together in honor of someone who has battled cancer. This Celebration of Life Ski will take place at 2:30PM on First Ride next to the Caliifornia Base Lodge. Special moments will be happening here all day, so gather your team and ski to honor a loved one!
